Sophia Mintas has studied opera on scholarship at the Ezio Pinza Council of American Singers of Opera (EPCASO) Program in Oderzo, Italy, in 2011, 2012 and 2014.  She is currently studying at the Mary Pappert School of Music at Duquesne University, where she is a student of Claudia Pinza.

She has performed in concerts in Oderzo, Italy, and the surrounding area.
In 2011, she also performed 5 opera arias as part of a cultural presentation on the origins of opera for the L.A. Mission College EOP&S/CARE Annual Awards ceremony in Los Angeles, California.
